There is a part of me that doesn’t want to share this recipe. It’s not even really mine to share, as it was introduced to me by a dear friend. But if it makes anyone else even just a little bit as happy as it made me then I suppose that’s the point of this blog and I shouldn’t be selfish.
I have been looking into the idea of making some of my own beauty products for a little while. This recipe makes use of leftovers, contains no nasty chemicals, is only three ingredients and smells and feels freakin’ fantastic! Need I go on?
Some kind of unrefined sugar (I used brown)
- Choose a jar or container that you can fit you hand into.
- Pour in your cold coffee grinds. I made the mistake of not letting mine cool down and everything melted a little bit.
- Chuck in a couple of spoons of coconut oil.
- Pour over some sugar.
- Mash it all together.
- If you are a stickler for quantities then I would say it’s about equal proportions.
Use as an exfoliator and enjoy silky smooth skin and smelling like a freshly baked cookie. You are welcome! Also, thanks Rebecca, you are the bomb-diggedy.
